No matter the size of the facility or practice, there are multiple compliance concerns that organizations should attend to. From eliminating poor physician documentation to cloned electronic health records, the organizations should have right practices in place to be compliant with the guidelines, changing healthcare trends, and government regulations to minimize the risk. With the recent release of final set of rules for the third stage of Meaningful Use incentive program, physicians and hospitals are required to be fully compliant by 2018. The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) and the Office of the National Coordinator (ONC) has also released corresponding certification requirements for EHR vendors. With the aggressive timeline for implementation, the requirements might pose a big challenge for the stakeholders in the healthcare ecosystem. The success here depends on finding the right technology partner that can help providers meet their requirements for Meaningful Use. While ensuring this, they should also make sure that effective strategies are in place to curb the chances of risk and privacy violation. Automating the compliance processes can prove to be a game changer here. In this scenario, there are scores of vendors that offer solutions, which in addition to helping providers become compliant, reduce the costs across entire healthcare system. This special edition of Healthcare Tech Outlook focuses on such vendors that provide innovative solutions in the healthcare compliance arena.
