The enterprise telehealth requires certain commitment, governance, and planning. Avizia has helped large health systems, provider networks, and home care agencies, to prepare for successful system-wide telehealth implementations. The firm offers flexible solutions that are designed to tackle the most common modalities that healthcare providers are striving to address today–behavioral health, general medicine, and emergency care.
Avizia’s telemedicine medical devices— carts and peripherals help in connecting the physicians, specialists and their patients to the point of care from geographically dispersed locations. While facilitating collaboration with the care teams, patients can hold their interactions with doctors or nurses via Avizia’s medical devices from the luxury of their own homes, or even from outskirts of the cities.

Further, a telemedicine program can only be successful if it can mimic the existing clinical practice. Avizia has designed its workflow software to achieve all levels of optimum care from scheduling patients to delivering care and tracking their recovery. “We offer a complete suite of software designed to integrate with the organization’s existing Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems,” remarks Baird. For instance—Avizias’ OnePlace tool supports e-Visits–allowing patients to connect with care providers from home. At a glance, the tool provides virtual waiting rooms, and a call calendar. In addition, the Video Cloud services of the firm enable video conferencing from the device, location and network of the patient’s choice.
A number of organizations have benefitted from incorporating Avizia’s solutions into their ecosystem. Southern Illinois Healthcare (SIH) was facing a shortage of mental-health providers in rural areas. Only one psychiatrist was available to serve 1.5 million patients. SIH as a solution to this challenge approached Avizia, and deployed it’s telemedicine carts and peripheral devices to build Telepsychiatry and Telestroke programs. Thereafter, SIH witnessed considerable progress and could reduce long waiting times of patients and look into their complete health recovery.
About the future initiatives, Avizia is planning to embark upon latest video technologies in order to further expand the patient engagement services for better healthcare delivery. “Our mission has been to improve people's lives by adapting to the video technology and thereby expanding access, efficiency, and increase in the reach of healthcare providers,” concludes Baird.
