EDEN PRAIRIE - Elucent Medical, announced that it has appointed Jason Pesterfield as its new President and Chief Executive Officer and Kirk G. Jacquay as the company’s new Chief Finance Officer. Both executives join Elucent from Optellum, Ltd., a start-up MedTech AI software company using AI to predict lung cancer based on a single CT scan.
Pesterfield brings to the table extensive expertise in the field of MedTech, accumulating over 25 years of experience. Notably, he has served as CEO for several start-up companies that specialize in lung cancer detection and diagnosis, amassing more than a decade of leadership in this area. Furthermore, Pesterfield's professional journey includes a notable 17-year tenure at Stryker Corporation, where he initially joined as a marketing associate within the microsurgery instruments division and eventually ascended to the esteemed positions of Global Vice President and General Manager for the Surgical Navigation division. His time at Stryker Corporation afforded him valuable insights into various aspects of business, such as fostering aggressive company growth, steering company culture, cultivating effective teams, and driving revenue expansion and diversification. Throughout his illustrious career, Pesterfield has consistently prioritized the establishment of high-performance teams that center their efforts around delivering exceptional customer experiences.

In 2001, he transitioned to Eli Lily, where he made significant contributions in finance and business development, propelling his ascent within the medical and pharmaceutical sectors. Subsequently, Jacquay spent over ten years at SteriCycle, during which he assumed greater acquisition-related responsibilities and emerged as a key driving force behind the provision of specialized financial services.
