THANK YOU FOR SUBSCRIBING

Paul Wright, CEO, GoEasyCareEven so, most employee management systems are only equipped with generic capabilities not suited to address the specialized needs of a healthcare workforce. This is driving the need for solutions solely designed to help care facilities effectively cope with personnel shortages and ensure timely patient care.
At the vanguard of bridging this gap, with a full suite of specialized healthcare-driven workforce management products, is GoEasyCare.
The firm helps healthcare organizations adopt seamlessly connected HR services proven to free up time that can instead be spent on fulfilling core business objectives.
Dedicated Healthcare Workforce Management Modules
Productive healthcare workforce management includes effectively coordinating HR-related processes, like scheduling, attendance, time-tracking, and payroll activities. This is easier said than done because many of these tasks are performed manually or with non-Healthcare specific products, which makes the overall management of employees prone to errors and delays.
GoEasyCare’s scheduling module, powered by automated shift-filling, modifies relevant codes on a schedule automatically. For instance, when an employee needs to make a shift assignment change, the module searches for another employee to work the available shift, involving only the worker who made the request and their potential replacements instead of the entire administrative management. Managers or schedulers are immediately notified of schedule changes and, if needed, review and approve requests, ensuring the seamless alignment of shift reassignments with the relevant employees’ payroll, time banks, and other administrative elements.
In the current healthcare landscape, both generic and complex models can hinder employee onboarding. GoEasyCare’s HR onboarding module shifts this paradigm by quickly collecting and storing home addresses, job positions, rates of pay, and other details to streamline the orientation and introduction processes for new employees. This timesaving module sends a direct email invitation to access its onboarding portal, which tracks the completion of new employee requirements and alerts them to watch training videos, read company policies, or sign key documentation. It also enables a self-service approach among new hires, encouraging them to introduce themselves to the hiring staff and reporting head.
For hired employees, GoEasyCare provides clocking in/ out through a kiosk app that runs on standard hardware like a tablet or its mobile application and leverages GPS coordinates and geofencing within the specified meters of the facility to enable efficient time and attendance tracking.
“We understand that government-funded or non-profit organizations cannot always afford big investments, so we have used our software development prowess to build advanced healthcare focused modules that are not only easy to use and save time through automation but are priced right, giving the organization the specialty functionality they desire without the exorbitant price,” states Wright.
He notes that the healthcare market is full of small businesses using workforce management products with narrow capabilities, creating the need for a broader solution. Alternatively, despite having full suites of offerings, features, modules, funding, and other professional services, larger organizations are not meeting the needed operational efficiencies due to products with limited healthcare focused capabilities.
To assist these firms, GoEasyCare offers extensive professional services to analyze schedules, approve timecards, process payments, distribute funds, and file taxes, T4s (statements of remuneration paid), and records of employment (ROE) for permanent and interim employees. Through its system, healthcare organizations can easily report absences, handle employee requests, and manage shift changes while consistently complying with union and employment standards administration (ESA) rules and policies. Meanwhile, GoEasyCare’s seasoned engineers and developers create and implement software products specific to a comprehensive healthcare system’s needs.
Simplifying New and Existing Healthcare Employee Workflows
Generally, products in the market are complex for a healthcare provider underequipped with the right technology skills. This forces them to adopt a hybrid approach of using automation for some administrative tasks while relying on manual processes for others. To eliminate this, they want a solution that simplifies the management of their patient care agendas without investing time and funds in training courses.
GoEasyCare’s easy-to-use interface streamlines workplace complexities by replacing cumbersome and conventional workforce management techniques with an intuitive platform that centralizes diverse client data stacks. From the beginning of an engagement, it provides free training, top-notch trainers, and pointers that guide clients to quick and effective use of its product modules, delivering a better user experience.
Complementing this are GoEasyCare’s in-house managers, who design personalized employee workflow templates and an efficient dashboard that holistically displays a summary of employee profiles, their designated departments, onboarding progress, and other necessary insights for boosting follow-ups or reminders.![]()

An Impactful Success Story
In collaboration with one of its customers, a non-profit community organization, GoEasyCare found that its HR staff spent 10 days per month creating schedules.
GoEasyCare’s automated scheduling and shift-filling solution flipped this script, helping the client reduce their scheduling time by 75 percent and free up 7.5 days a month. Through the intuitive, end-to-end solution, the GoEasyCare customer was able to dedicate an additional 7.5 days for valueadded management like recruitment, candidate interviews, reference checks, onboarding, performance appraisals, and training.
GoEasyCare automated shift filling analyses the customers’ employees and schedules to identify qualified members, notify them of vacant shifts, track their progress, and update schedules. For denied requests, its automated systems contacted the next available candidate within the employer’s fixed timeframe, eliminating latency and ensuring timely care. Essentially, GoEasyCare’s up-to-date, automated, and centralized online scheduling allowed DSPs to self-schedule and seamlessly opt in or out of vacant shifts and requests, enabling the customer with immediate updates and search capabilities.
From creating schedules to addressing staffing reminders and sick call-outs, GoEasyCare streamlined their administrative tasks by enabling access to client-specific, accurate, and easy-to-read, cloud-based scheduling.
The Customer Feedback that Sparked GoEasyCare’s Automated Suite
Throughout its 25 years of business, GoEasyCare developed many scheduling and workforce management solutions, automated interactive voice response (IVR), and homecare time and attendance. Eight years ago, a local healthcare organization acknowledged its competency and contacted GoEasyCare, showing interest in its telephony automation designed for insurance companies, banks, and other financial businesses. Their goal was to replace their current scheduling process, which involved 10 to 12 unionized supervisors spending sixty to eighty hours a week just filling vacant shifts, with a more efficient and productive approach.
In response to this customer’s requirements, GoEasyCare developed its automated solutions suite, in collaboration with the customer, to curate a truly streamlined employee scheduling system. After experiencing immense value from the initial implementation, the client became an angel investor, providing funds to further develop the system.
GoEasyCare still follows this philosophy of working closely with customers and incorporating their feedback to create products that mitigate prevalent challenges while simplifying healthcare workforce management for organizations new to the domain.
Currently, GoEasyCare is undergoing a major growth spurt to mitigate the need for a highly integrated solution comprising real-time time-tracking and automated modules. To accomplish this, it participated in two conferences with the Ontario Long Term Care Association (OLTCA) and AdvantAge Ontario, a non-profit senior care organization, to present its system and benefits to a vast pool of potential partners and clients. Based on the response and funding opportunities ignited by the presentations, GoEasyCare is now dedicatedly progressing toward its vision of serving long-term care, retirement immediately, and the hospital ecosystems by 2024.
GoEasyCare is poised to fill the longstanding gaps in healthcare workforce management through various product extensions, enabling consistent and competent staffing and productivity across care facilities of all sizes.
