Following this international acquisition, Abris intends to use organic development and further consolidate local markets in Romania and Bulgaria to further develop Dentotal into a regional leader.

FREMONT, CA: Dentotal, the largest Romanian dental distributor, has signed a binding agreement to acquire Dentatechnica, Bulgaria's foremost dental distributor, with the backing of Central European private equity firm Abris Capital Partners ("Abris"). The agreement is subject to clearance from the relevant antitrust authorities.

Dentatechnica, founded in 1991, is Bulgaria's leading distributor of materials and digital equipment for the dental care sector, offering a diverse range of high-quality items. The company has an exemplary track record of technological innovation in the Bulgarian dentistry sector, with over 3,000 dental clinics and laboratories around the country receiving its goods.

Following this international acquisition, Abris intends to use organic development and further consolidate local markets in Romania and Bulgaria to further develop Dentotal into a regional leader. Abris will lead the company's transformation into a sustainable and scalable platform, offering a one-stop-shop for the region's dental clinics and laboratories. Abris wants to assist the professionalization of the firm and invest in new systems as part of the value-creation process while also concentrating on sustainability as part of the fund's commitment to ESG and responsible investment.

Dentotal was acquired by Abris in 2019 from a family of Romanian entrepreneurs with the goal of becoming the clear leader in the region's fast-growing dental supply sector. While the pandemic had an impact on the dental care sector, with several dental clinics closing during the lockdown time in 2020, Dentotal has emerged as a stronger corporation by focusing on internal organization, IT system upgrades, and modern logistics and sales operations.
