First Open Digital Stethoscope Platform Now Available in the United States
FREMONT, CA: Due to the technologies used, the digital stethoscope performs far better than the conventional stethoscope. It operates by transforming acoustic noises into amplified electrical impulses. After further digitization, the electronic signals can be transferred to desktops and laptops. The first open software platform for sophisticated digital auscultation (stethoscope technology) is now available in the United States from eMurmur®, a technology partner to worldwide healthcare. It allows hardware and telehealth providers around the United States to access enhanced screening for heart, lung, and bowel health. It's the first open and publicly available auscultation technology that runs on iOS, Android, and mainstream browsers like Chrome, Firefox, and Internet Explorer. To better screen, monitor, and diagnose patients, healthcare providers can utilize it with their existing digital stethoscope to better screen, monitor, and diagnose patients.
“The eMurmur platform allows healthcare providers to listen to the human body with a degree of clarity greatly valued by even the most highly trained ear. Our technology can be used in-person, remotely, or asynchronously to screen patients for early warning signs related to heart, lung, and bowel health.” states Andreas Schriefl, founder and CEO of eMurmur. “What makes eMurmur unique is that we are an open platform for third party digital stethoscopes and telehealth providers. We are increasingly seeing new innovative stethoscopes coming to market and welcome them to use our world class auscultation software to access our cutting-edge capabilities.”
In addition, eMurmur is delighted to confirm that MobilDrTech Inc. will be its US distribution partner. A free trial of the eMurmur app can be downloaded on iOS or Android devices. eMurmur platform demos and compatible digital stethoscopes are available from MobilDrTech.
“The appetite for advanced healthcare technologies that support virtual consultations and offer a high degree of confidence in early heart, lung and bowel screening is in demand,” comments Nat Gist, MobilDrTech Inc. “The pandemic has made telehealth a critical part of our healthcare system and working with eMurmur to bring this potentially lifesaving technology and open platform to the US market means that more Americans will benefit from early detection and receive the high-quality healthcare they deserve.”
Digital recordings provided by eMurmur help evaluate patient conditions over time and consult with colleagues outside the examination room. By employing cutting-edge technology, eMurmur enables healthcare providers to more accurately check and monitor cardiac and bowel irregularities and diagnose and consult.
