Gainwell Technologies LLC (Gainwell), a leading provider of technology solutions for health and human service programs, confirmed the joining of Karen Shields as Chief Client Engagement Officer. Karen brings over thirty years of expertise in navigating the intersection of technology and healthcare in serving vulnerable populations, further strengthening Gainwell's commitment to helping clients improve health outcomes.

Karen will work across Gainwell's client base as Chief Client Engagement Officer to understand and anticipate their various needs and challenges. Karen will use her newfound knowledge to ensure that clients' needs are met consistently in collaboration with Gainwell's product management team.

Karen has previously served as deputy director of the CMS Center for Medicaid and CHIP Services. Before that, she oversaw the growth of Sercos' healthcare business and held several leadership positions within CMS, including Deputy Director for Operations in the CMS Center for Consumer Information and Insurance Oversight (CCIIO).
