SprintRay Inc. commercially released OnX Tough, a next-generation hybrid ceramic resin optimized for 3D printing dental prostheses. This new resin uses SprintRay's unique NanoFusionTM technology and provides outstanding durability and realistic translucency for high-quality, same-day smiles.

Dental prostheses are in high demand, with the global market expected to reach 9.71 billion dollars by 2026. 1 Approximately 178 million persons in the United States alone are missing at least one tooth, and 40 million are edentulous (missing all teeth). 2 Traditionally, dental prostheses are manufactured by submitting digital or analog impressions to a lab, with turnaround times averaging 3-4 weeks for some patients. First-generation 3D printing technology permitted in-office fabrication of dental prostheses with the introduction of digital dentistry and 3D printing, albeit with many restrictions.
