Omron Healthcare’s new HeartAdvisor application provides insights into users’ hypertension data and helps users better understand how their lifestyle habits affect their numbers. This causes a sense of self-contemplation among patients, probing them to reassess lifestyle and strive for a behavioral change.

The firm’s solutions can be paired with Amazon Alexa to enable voice assistance for obtaining blood pressure readings and other information sets. Omron Healthcare is further working with healthcare providers to enhance HeartAdvisor’s capability and enable physicians to automatically gather their patients’ hypertension information in real-time.
Omron Healthcare has piloted several initiatives pertaining to mobile monitoring of blood pressure and has helped consumers reduce their risk of heart attack and stroke and facilitate more proactive health conversations between doctors and patients. One of the many success stories scripted by the company is that of one of its influencers, who discovered that she had hypertension. Using the firm’s EVOLV upper arm blood pressure monitor, the influencer monitored her blood pressure patterns and identified that the readings were at the highest during office hours. In the wake of this, she accepted a job offer that had low-stress conditions and subsequently witnessed a healthier blood pressure reading.
Such counter measures not only help people in need but also organizations in spreading awareness about heart attacks and strokes. Omron further collaborates with healthcare providers and understands their requirements to diagnose patients better. Such associations have assisted Omron Healthcare in developing products that can monitor both electrocardiogram (EKG) and blood pressure simultaneously, like the newly launched Complete monitor. “We have many products in our pipeline that will help doctors collect their patients’ information and make an informed decision while treating them,” concludes Kellogg.

OMRON Healthcare Acquires Luscii Healthtech to Advance and Innovate Remote Patient-monitoring Adoption at Scale
KYOTO - OMRON Healthcare Co., Ltd. announced on April 5 the acquisition of Luscii Healthtech, a fast-growing scale-up in the field of digital health and remote consultation service platforms. Since OMRON's seed investment in 2018, the two companies have collaborated closely, sharing knowledge and experience in the development of digital health. As a digital-native company and pioneer in smart remote care and virtual wards, Luscii cultivates a unique culture for innovation and agile philosophy allowing them successfully to address the complex and rapidly changing demands of healthcare systems.
Luscii provides a fully customizable platform and app for care at home, catering to over 150 diseases, including those affecting chronic hypertensive, cardiovascular, and respiratory patients.
