Amit Vohra, Founder, President, and CEO, PromaxoPromaxo's compact and adaptable MRI system was created to improve the quality and speed of patient diagnosis and interventions. Unlike traditional MRI systems, which are often inconvenient and inaccessible, Promaxo's portable MRI systems can be easily placed inside a physician’s office or clinic without additional facility upgrades. The singlesided, minimally invasive, and entirely open MRI is designed to be patient-friendly by eliminating the need for a gantry, which alleviates patient concerns of claustrophobia. Moreover, patients are at ease with the minimally invasive approach when using Promaxo MRI to guide a targeted procedure.
“Our MRI System combines proprietary technologies to pack advanced medical imaging and live navigation into a compact design with zero compromise in the quality of clinical outcomes,” says Amit Vohra, Founder, President, and CEO of Promaxo.
The Promaxo MRI currently operates to address prostate cancer in a clinic or ambulatory surgical setting, and is poised to enter parallel and adjacent markets, such as women’s urology, gynecology, and more.
Promaxo's success has enabled patients to adopt a more appropriate course of action through earlier detection of prostate cancer, resulting in an improved quality of life and cost savings for those who opt for immediate treatment. The Company's technology pipeline is aligned to its mission - making life easier for patients and physicians by using AI to enhance the images and facilitate a seamless care pathway. Promaxo’s procedural data and images of the patient will enable the Company to build AI-based tissue characterization algorithms in the future, enabling advanced computer-aided diagnostics and successful treatments to complete the full patient care pathway of screening, diagnosis, and treatment.
From a physician’s perspective, the Promaxo MRI is user-friendly and can be operated without any specialized training. All imaging sequences have been automated and optimized to run with the press of a single button.![]()
