More importantly, clients can easily understand if a particular molecule is likely to deliver the expected results in the early stages of drug development. This can help research teams define precise endpoints during clinical trials and potentially contribute to development of more personalized drugs. VIDA’s quality-controlled imaging service has been used in over 60 academic and industry clinical trials across 30 countries to date. These services are delivered from VIDA’s specialized core lab, operated with an ISO-13485 certified quality system.

In one VIDA case study of clinical application, a patient was diagnosed with severe asthma and treated accordingly but saw no improvement to his health. Revisiting the chest CT with LungPrint, the radiologist found evidence suggesting the patient had an alpha-1 antitrypsin deficiency that had led to COPD. Now empowered with more precise and accurate information, the treating physician ran a genetic test and re-evaluated the findings, then adjusted patient treatment to focus on the accurate underlying condition.

Polarean Partners with VIDA to Streamline Adoption of Advanced MRI of the Lungs

Two best-in-class lung imaging companies combine their expertise for the deployment of a new xenon 129 MRI platform.
DURHAM - Polarean (AIM: POLX), announced today it has partnered with VIDA Diagnostics (VIDA), a clinical imaging intelligence company providing medical imaging software solutions which manage the complexities of digital biomarkers. The companies are partnering to develop solutions that further enable the Polarean xenon 129 MRI platform to accelerate clinical and research use.
VIDA has empowered over 1,000 clinical and research sites worldwide with its cloud-native AI-enabled imaging management platform. This platform drives standardization and efficiency improvements in the operations of clinical trial imaging. It incorporates a unique orchestration engine that facilitates the integration and optimization of multimodality clinical algorithms. This, in turn, makes new high-quality imaging biomarkers more accessible to researchers, clinical trials, and their integration into clinical care workflows.
The collaboration between Polarean and VIDA aims to:

Polarean has recently introduced XENOVIEW, an inhaled MRI hyperpolarized contrast agent that is the first and only of its kind. XENOVIEW utilizes xenon Xe 129 in a hyperpolarized state to enable the visualization of lung ventilation. This innovative technology is grounded in MRI, ensuring that patients are not exposed to ionizing radiation or the associated health risks.
The administration of XENOVIEW, created through the Polarean HPX hyperpolarization system, is a quick and efficient process, taking only 10-15 seconds during a single breath-hold MRI procedure. XENOVIEW is specifically indicated for use in MRI examinations for assessing lung ventilation in both adult and pediatric patients aged 12 years and older. It is important to note that XENOVIEW has not undergone evaluation for use in lung perfusion imaging.
